Aircel to launch its 4G services for retail customers by the end-2015
Aircel is planning to launch 4G services for its retail customers by the end-2015. The company has commercially launched 4G services in six of the eight circles for its enterprise customers. According to the company, it is focusing on its enterprise customers because of its large customer base having expectations for consistent quality, high uptime and high throughput.
The company holds 20 MHz of spectrum in the 2300 MHz band across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, the North East and Jammu & Kashmir circles. Aircel is of the view that the competition in the 4G space will drive quality of services and will be beneficial for end customers. It will launch its services in the two remaining circles soon to meet its rollout obligations.
